We are seeking a Sustainability Reporting Specialist to join our EMEA team to lead and coordinate our external sustainability reporting initiatives, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) along with EcoVadis and UN Global Compact.

You will be part of an energetic and innovative environment with more than 50 different nationalities at our state-of-the-art EMEA HQ at Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
What we askSustainability Reporting: Coordinate and deliver comprehensive sustainability reports, to align with compliance with CSRD and other key directives.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the central EMEA coordinator for CSRD, liaising with country data stakeholders to consolidate, and review sustainability metrics.
Sustainability Narrative Development: Assist in developing CSRD qualitative metrics by identifying relevant policies, gathering key information, and supporting analysis to make informed recommendations.
External Reporting: Support the development and delivery of external corporate sustainability reports, including UN Global Compact and EcoVadis.
Knowledge Management: Maintain an up-to-date EMEA Sustainability knowledge library to support business units and drive sales growth.
Operational Support: Provide operational support to Canon business units, including reviewing marketing and communications related to sustainability.
Training and Development: Periodically update EMEA-wide employee sustainability training content to keep colleagues informed about important sustainability developments.
You will needThe ideal candidate will have:- Experience: Proven experience in environmental sustainability, including reporting for environmental legislation and major certifications (e.g., UN Global Compact, EcoVadis).
- Reporting Skills: Strong ability to identify relevant environmental information and spot trends and anomalies in data.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with environmental reporting IT systems and governance structures.
- Educational Background: A degree or equivalent qualifications in sustainability, environmental management, or relevant experience.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of current sustainability best practices, initiatives, and key market drivers (e.g., carbon net zero, circular economy).
- Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing projects, workloads, and deadlines both independently and collaboratively.
- Professional Membership: Membership in a relevant professional institution (desirable).
- Industry Experience: Experience in consumer/business services, manufacturing, technology, or within a global organization (desirable).

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Our offices are based in Stockley Park, Uxbridge.
