Our Team:We are currently a diverse group of engineers within the Project Assurance section of the Offshore Infrastructure department collaborating with colleagues across multiple disciplines such as structural, mechanical, metocean, hydrodynamic engineers and naval architects. Our projects can be located anywhere around the world from Alaska to New Zealand, providing genuine variety to the range of seabed challenges you will encounter. Whilst our projects are global, this position is based at our UK offices. From here, you'll work closely with colleagues throughout our organization, with opportunities to participate in exchange programs between different DNV offices worldwide.

As you progress, your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping our team's strategies in growing integrated geoscience services, developing innovative solutions for our clients, and setting industry standards.
You will be given the opportunity to:• Be the technical lead on projects, supported by our team of highly skilled specialists, to accomplish the overall delivery of optimal solutions to clients.
• Lead owner's engineering activities in the early development phase of offshore wind farms.
• Specify, scope and manage offshore geophysical and geotechnical site investigation surveys.
• Review and interpretation of seabed geophysical, geological, and geotechnical data and create integrated ground models suitable for engineering purposes.
• Identify geohazards and risks associated with offshore construction activities and propose pragmatic means of mitigation/potential solutions.
• Lead and contribute to preparation of tenders and technical proposals.
• Attend sites onshore and offshore to experience the true scale of the structures that we assess.
• Build professional networks with various stakeholders in the industry.
• Deliver high-quality technical reports detailing assessment approach and key findings and outcomes.
• Develop innovative solutions to offshore ground engineering challenges as part of ongoing and future R&D projects.
• Enhance and develop existing ways of working. Provide mentorship and technical support to other team members.
• Develop your technical, commercial, and project management skills, alongside our world-leading experts, on a variety of high-profile global engineering projects, by gaining direct exposure to industry leading clients and involvement throughout the project lifecycle.

QualificationsIf you are a dedicated team player with a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply and bring your unique expertise to our dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Geophysics, Geology or Engineering Geology.
- A post-graduate degree is an advantage.
- Demonstrable experience in engineering consultancy, with a track record of leading successful delivery of early phase project scopes (e.g. desktop studies, site investigation strategy and management, ground modelling), ideally in the offshore wind sector.
- Experience in using relevant software packages and tools such as GIS, Kingdom or similar.
- Ability to win new business with existing and potential clients, develop proposals, bid for contracts and lead client meetings.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate, and execute key activities proactively across multiple projects simultaneously, whilst maintaining high performance and quality under pressure.
- Curious and proactive, with a solution-oriented approach, demonstrating an ability to manage, develop, and lead projects independently with minimum supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with confidence in building professional relationships both internally and externally with customers and being a visible leading member of the industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise reports and present complex solutions and ideas to both specialist and non-specialist stakeholders.
