Develop bespoke BEMS solutions, support energy efficiency efforts, and ensure optimal environmental conditions in the most energy-conscious way possible.
Mitie Energy is a leading provider of energy management services, committed to sustainability and innovation. We work with diverse clients to optimise energy usage and reduce carbon footprints.
This role exists to provide comprehensive energy management services, addressing technical, managerial, operational, and purchasing issues. It aims to minimise energy consumption while maintaining required environmental conditions, contributing to the commercial aspirations of Mitie and the client.
Responsibilities: As an Energy and Technical Solutions Manager, you'll be responsible for monitoring and controlling energy performance across buildings, plant, and equipment to minimise consumption while maintaining required environmental conditions. You'll develop and implement energy optimisation strategies, manage Building Management Systems (BEMS), and produce detailed energy reports. Additionally, you'll advise on energy consumption requirements, lifecycle planning, and ensure compliance with contractual and legislative standards. Engaging with stakeholders to support energy-saving initiatives and maintaining accurate records are also key aspects of this role.
As part of the wider management responsibilities, you will regularly attend internal and external meetings to review all aspects of service delivery, ensuring that meeting notes are taken, actions are recorded, assigned, and completed promptly. You will document any requests for contract variations and coordinate with the Commercial Manager to implement changes according to the contract variation procedure. Monitoring performance standards related to energy services is crucial to ensure they are met without financial deductions. Promoting safe working practices and ensuring Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) compliance through Mitie's LiveSafe procedures is essential, aiming to minimize workplace accidents and incidents. Effective Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) must be used for all energy works, ensuring they are documented and readily available. Additionally, you will manage subcontractors in accordance with Mitie Policy and Procedures.
