We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice to join and expand our experienced gardening team at Rothamsted Research. We are seeking a keen, motivated, and aspiring individual with a passion for a career in horticulture.
With the knowledge and experience you will gain by working alongside our expert gardeners at our Harpenden Campus, Tenant Gardens, and Manor House, you will develop a deeper understanding of the seasonal work involved in a wide range of horticultural environments. Day release at college combined with on-the-job training to provide a well-rounded basis for a horticultural career. The apprentice will be expected to be involved with every aspect of the daily maintenance of the areas we look after, with the aptitude to use their initiative and fit in well with the existing team.
The commitment to achieving a Level 2 apprenticeship qualification is two years, and in addition, you will gain critical recognised qualifications, including PA1/PA6, Tractor/Trailer and First Aid.
A full driving licence is essential, as some of our properties are in the wider vicinity of our Harpenden Campus.
This is a full-time position with a salary of £23,493.
