Sustainability and CAM Risk ManagerThe Sustainability and CAM Risk team reports into the Group Head of Financial Risk under the Group CRO. The Sustainability and CAM Risk Manager reports to the Sustainability and CAM Risk Senior Manager. The team is small, developing and dynamic, and provides access to all relevant stakeholders internally as well as covering all risks processes.
The role and responsibilities:
- Support the Sustainability and CAM Risk Senior Manager in all engagements with the sustainability team internally, and the CAM team (Corporate Affairs and Marketing) principally their BCOs (Business Control Officer)
- Facilitate and support identification and reporting of sustainability and CAM risks and use output to improve process
- Support the implementation of the annual sustainability and CAM risk strategies, including supporting the risk teams in the delivery of the RCA, by ensuring risks are included and reviewed. This also includes providing guidance, review and challenge to the 1st and 2nd lines on the assessment of sustainability and CAM risks. Contribute to risk deep dives and reviews of risk assessments and control adequacy/performance
- Support the implementation, embedding, application and maintenance of the new sustainability risk framework, including the delivery of sustainability and CAM risks specific training and awareness sessions to the 1LoD and 2LoD
- Support guidance, review and challenge to First and Second Line on the assessment of risks and controls within the annual Risk and Control Assessment
- Work with Group risk colleagues and First Line to monitor and challenge as appropriate all sustainability risks in Corporate Functions and Business Units
- Apply own expertise to facilitate the identification of key risks related to new business or new products or initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies by liaising with the CAM teams and providing training to the 1LoD in respect of their responsibilities as a policy owner
- Support and contribute as necessary to the sustainability risk submissions as part of LSEG's Annual and Sustainability reports, TCFD disclosures, and CDP reporting, and support the planning of the required disclosure in line with the 1LoD timeline
- Support the formal reporting of key risks and challenges to senior management forums by preparing materials
- Be part of and contribute to the relevant working groups and provide updates and input from a risk perspective
- Contribute and support the development and delivery of the climate stress test process
- Assist in embedding a culture of risk excellence
Experience and skills required:
- Must have a degree or equivalent qualification
- Must have a proven track record of strong stakeholder management
- Must have experience as a risk professional
- Understanding of key sustainability risks, including climate, sustainability-related regulations, nature, human rights etc.
- Understanding of LSEG business, industry sector and peers
