Project Manager - Energy Storage - UK
On behalf of a major renewable energy client, WRS are looking for a Senior Energy Storage Project Manager to join their tem in UK on a permanent basis.
As a Senior Consultant for Energy Storage, you will play a key role in managing and delivering energy storage projects while supporting our broader renewables portfolio. You will be responsible for:
- Managing utility-scale energy storage projects from development to operation.
- Leading Owner's Engineering services, overseeing project delivery, and ensuring technical excellence.
- Providing tendering, procurement, and contract negotiation support to clients.
- Conducting technical due diligence for lenders, investors, and developers.
- Reviewing project designs and specifications to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Supporting commissioning and operational performance analysis.
- Leading proposal development and contributing to business growth.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance our energy storage expertise.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in energy storage, with a strong understanding of project management and construction principles.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Right to wrok in the UK
- Strong technical knowledge of energy storage technologies, market trends, and revenue mechanisms.
- Experience in Owner's Engineering, Independent Engineering, or Lender's Technical Advisory roles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working in a consultancy environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of software tools like HOMER, Python, or experience with grid connection processes is an advantage.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is desirable.
