Summary of accomplishments
-Set up the collaboration for the Geologic H2 ARPA-E project (DE-FOA-0002784) and helped raise $1.6 million funding.
-Brought people throughout the Rio Tinto global enterprise together and celebrated their contributions through collaborative projects (ISTG, RTIO, RTB, RTFT, IOC, RTX, RTM, RTA, RCM, KUC)
-Created several AI/ML Descartes Labs / hyperspectral workflows and methodologies to accelerate ultramafics mapping, global mining land use mapping and downstream processing optimized mineral exploration.
-Demonstrated the potential use of mono-optical MAXAR imagery for cost-effective global stockpile volume monitoring.
-Drove geospatial & remote sensing analytics into the technology innovation evaluation and due diligence processes within the ISTG.
-Founded & directed a geospatial/exploration consultancy serving the mining sector in Southern Africa for 17 years.
-Initiated Space Act Agreement process between Rio Tinto and NASA-Ames.
