Within this exciting new graduate role, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with team members of other RSK departments particularly those which have a close working relationship with RSK Environment. There will also be an opportunity to assist senior colleagues in managing the projects that RSK Environment undertakes including assisting with coordinating project finances, assisting in the production of deliverables in line with the clients' expectations and helping to ensure deliverables are submitted on time.
Main responsibilities: - Be comfortable and confident when communicating with clients and help to coordinate responses to their requests for services provided by RSK.
- Assisting senior colleagues with tender submissions, working with other RSK Environment staff to ensure submissions are delivered following the timeframes identified and follow RSK SHEQ Management System.
- Completing timesheets in a timely manner at the end of each week and submit to line manager.
- Help to assist colleagues when they are under pressure to meet clients' expectations.
- Representing the company at external events as required and directed including events relating to professional membership.
- Attend team and business area meetings where appropriate.
- Investigate professional membership levels of relevant institutes and identify the route for professional development best suited to their aspirations. If appropriate become a graduate member of a relevant institute.
With this being a graduate role you will be able to maintain a personal CPD record and develop/update your CV throughout your role with your line manager, as well as set and achieve targets towards professional development.
Person Specification & Experience:As a Graduate Consultant you will be expected to demonstrate a good level of communication with team members and their peers. You will be self-motivated, exhibit a proactive approach and work well within a team environment.
Key skills required:
- Degree in Environmental Science or similar related field.
- Good writing skills and the ability to produce robust written deliverables on behalf of the business.
- Competent in the use of Excel and the ability to interrogate and analyse data within spreadsheets.
- Competent in the use of PowerPoint and the ability to produce presentations.
- Good knowledge of project management and an interest in developing their experience and skills to become a better project manager including supporting more senior colleagues with project management tasks.
- Ability to listen effectively to RSK colleagues and team members to ensure instructions are understood and carried out correctly.
