Stirling Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced social work leader with professional development experience. As an organisation we have a longstanding commitment to the training and development of our workforce and to those coming into the Social Work profession. This temporary 2 year post will offer the right applicant the opportunity to work across Children and Families, Justice, and Adult Social Work to support our developing career pathway offer for social work services.
The role requires a self-driven and passionate social work leader with a creative approach to developing a sustainable approach to our offer of student placements, embedding the NQSW year requirements, and continually developing our workforce through post graduate study and practice forums.
Reporting to the CSWO and working closely with the Service Managers, the Practice Development Officer will build on our previous learning and directly contributing to a delivery plan that ensures our workforce are well supported and nurtured to remain resilient to the professional experiences across their career. The role will include responsibilities for the professional supervision of our Practice Educators and provide Practice Education Assessment and support when required.
