The Opportunity We have a secondment opportunity (around 10 months) for a Senior Manager, Sustainability.
Sustainability will form a key part of IAGL's overall corporate strategy as we scale. This is an opportunity to both play a leading role in the development of, and enable the execution of, that strategy. This role will have two main parts: working with teams and leaders across IAGL to develop and execute sustainability strategy, and working with IAG and its operating companies to understand and fulfil sustainability compliance and reporting requirements.
This role will be pivotal to ensuring that IAGL executes on a cohesive sustainability strategy that benefits its customers, its colleagues, IAG and its opcos, and ultimately IAG's investors.
This role will report to IAGL's Head of Strategy and Transformation, and will sit within the Finance, Legal, and Strategy domain.
What You'll Get Up To - Work closely with IAGL leadership, define sustainability goals and strategy, including the metrics by which success should be measured.
- Work with business teams, define the initiatives that need to be undertaken to achieve these goals, based on an understanding of our business needs and of best practices within our peer sets.
- Work closely with business teams to enable them to define and deliver sustainability initiatives, supporting in areas including planning and governance, investment and resourcing, and measurement/reporting.
- Align sustainability initiatives to IAGL's Transformation Plan.
- Stay up-to-date on sustainability-related regulatory changes that impact IAGL, and work with the Legal & Compliance team to ensure the right processes are put in place to ensure compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on sustainability-related trends in IAGL's markets and continually iterate our strategy as needed to respond to these trends.
- Act as the main point of contact with IAG and its opcos for all sustainability-related matters, represent IAGL in IAG governance and working groups (e.g., IAG Sustainability Steering Group, IAG Sustainability Network).
- Assume responsibility for all of IAGL's sustainability requirements, and ensure IAGL activity is compliant with environmental, social, and governance standards and regulations. Play a proactive role in risk management. Work with IAGL Finance to contribute to ESG reporting and compliance requirements, coordinating review and approval (e.g. UK CFD, SECR, EU Taxonomy).
- Work with partner teams to understand our partners' sustainability requirements, and advise/enable teams to develop processes that fulfil these requirements.
- Act as an advisor to teams within IAGL on sustainability best practices, in keeping with overall sustainability strategy.
- Spread awareness of sustainability work among IAGL colleagues, and work with the Marketing and Communications teams to support any external communications related to sustainability.
