Purpose of the JobAs a Service Trainer, your primary responsibility is to equip technicians with the knowledge and skills required for the effective preventive maintenance of our wind turbines. You and one other Service Trainer will work together on an annual maintenance, training another Technician as you go. You will deliver comprehensive training programs that cover all aspects of wind turbine preventive maintenance, including safety protocols and best practices. Additionally, you will assist in designing and developing these training programs. By ensuring that technicians are well-trained, you will enhance the reliability and efficiency of wind turbine operations, contributing to the overall performance of our business.
In addition to conducting training sessions, you will maintain detailed training records and prepare progress reports. Your role is vital in promoting high standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety among the service teams. This is a shift pattern role, working 2 weeks on with 2 weeks off. Ideally candidates will be located in the North East of England.
What You'll Be Handling Day-to-Day:1)Training- Deliver preventive maintenance training to a high standard, as required, ensuring all training objectives are met.
- Working alongside another Service Trainer, you will train a Technician whilst completing an annual maintenance
- Assist the Training Manager in the ongoing development of the Full Circle preventive maintenance training program.
- Update and maintain training records as required.
- Provide feedback to Regional Service Managers and Training Manager on trainee performance.
2)Servicing- When not training, perform preventive maintenance as per the Service Support Technician role.
3)Quality & Safety- Perform occasional preventive maintenance quality audits.
- Assist and provide advice on the continuous improvement of preventive maintenance documentation.
What You'll Need in Your Toolkit:- You have a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional electrical/mechanical education or certification in wind turbine maintenance.
- Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions, demonstrating physical fitness and agility.
- Proficient in using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Proven experience and knowledge working in a Servicing Technician role.
