Due to a growing team, YPO is seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Value and Sustainability expert to help shape and drive our Social Value and Climate Change strategies.
Salary: Starting at £52,805 per year (Grade 13)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 37 hours per week
Location: YPO Headquarters, 41 Industrial Park, Wakefield WF2 0XE
Hours: Hybrid and Flexible working, Monday to Friday

As a Social Value and Sustainability Manager, you will work with your colleagues to embed these strategies across the organisation, help deliver on innovative and novel projects, and ensure clear communication and progress monitoring. Your technical expertise will allow you to calculate and monitor KPIs to measure our progress towards our goals to reduce carbon emissions across the organisation.
We are looking for someone who possesses strong leadership and strategic planning abilities, adept at guiding teams towards achieving organisational goals while formulating effective strategies to drive success. You will have the ability to inspire and motivate stakeholders, with a natural talent for encouraging and motivating others, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
You will demonstrate excellent communication and engagement skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and foster meaningful connections with diverse stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration and understanding. Along with a track record of developing and implementing policies that streamline operations and enhance efficiency, you will be knowledgeable about eco-friendly procurement methods and a commitment to promoting sustainability at YPO.
Key Responsibilities: - Drive and continuously assist in the development and review of YPO's Social Value and Climate Change strategies.
- Work with peers to understand and articulate YPO's approach to Social Value and Climate Change, with measurable goals and KPIs.
- Assist in the production and promotion of an annual Social Value report.
- Develop YPO's understanding of carbon calculations and promote carbon reduction plans to support YPO's Net Zero ambitions.
- Engage with and inspire senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Conduct benchmarking exercises and develop improvement plans.
- Advise procurement and contract teams on integrating social value and sustainability.
- Guide sales and commercial teams on leveraging Social Value as a unique selling point.
- Develop and implement programmes supporting Social Value and Climate Change.
- Identify opportunities for financial savings through sustainable practices.
- Collaborate with partners and other organisations on social value initiatives.
- Represent YPO's activities in media and ensure consistent policy application.
- Stay current with best practices and trends in social value and sustainability.
