You'll lead the brand sustainability agenda across 2 critical and high profile topics - Carbon and Packaging. You will be responsible for setting the global glidepaths and ensuring brand activity is directed against their deliver against their individual purposes and sustainability ambitions and our collective pursuit of a cleaner, healthier world.
Your responsibilitiesIn summary you'll: - Lead the development of capability and capacity within brand and marketing function on sustainability across Carbon and Packaging.
- Conduct hotspot analysis and understand reduction opportunities to develop carbon and packaging glidepaths
- Lead the cross functional teams to ensure efforts are directed towards brand / category priority areas ensuring focused efforts where it matters.
- Develop a learning agenda to increase the awareness & deployment of best in class sustainability assets, policies, playbooks & tools.
- Build culture of sustainability through marketing team engagement - develop regular communications to share insights, case studies, learning sessions
- Build a community of sustainability - supporting the network of Marketing Sustainability Champions & cross functional connections across Customer, R&D, Pack, Supply, Marketing Excellence teams & beyond.
- Lead internal & external engagement on sustainability for carbon and packaging topics, collaborating with key functions to generate opportunity & equity:
- Marketing & Sales teams for consumer & retailer engagement
- Corporate Affairs for internal engagement & external engagement with investors
- R&D for cross brand/GBU synergies, alignment where practical and efficiencies
- External partners such as software providers and consultants
- Liaise with technical product sustainability team members to deliver progress tracking across all relevant KPIs (e.g. pipeline snapshots)
- Attend relevant forums under new operating to ensure that sustainability implications are understood and highlighted where applicable in brand and innovation decisions across the CLT.
This position reports into the Sustainable Products and Brands Director. Although your role will be focused on Carbon and Packaging, you will work closely with counterparts across other topics such as Chemicals and Biodiversity to share learnings, best practice & develop common solutions in support of our corporate sustainability ambitions.

• Significant experience of brand and innovation management in FMCG and Reckitt
• Proven ability to lead initiatives from idea through to implementation
• Strong awareness of current and emerging ESG trends, risks and opportunities that may affect Reckitt's brands, with ideally experience in managing some of these aspects for an individual brand.
• Global or regional experience
• Proven leader, with the ability to drive impact at all levels and challenge the business strategy.
• Strong sense of urgency and achievement, you excel in a fast-paced and dynamic international environment.
• You must be confident in managing ambiguity, and be able to develop suitable pathways to complex problems by balancing multiple objectives and considering trade-offs.
• Be able to successfully navigate a complex matrix organisation, influencing senior stakeholders to drive the overall sustainability agenda within the wider business context
• Be persistent and undeterred on encountering obstacles and tracking work through to completion.
• Excellent understanding of the FMCG industry and Reckitt business needs.
• Able to put theory into practice by developing clear and pragmatic strategies that can be integrated into business processes.
• Great presentation skills - ability to make the complex simple and effectively communicate with a range of different audiences (cross functions and cross levels)
