We are seeking a highly competent and motivated individual to support schools in the area with energy and environmental improvements. The role will involve the development, delivery and general management of environmental projects. It will require the post holder to provide technical advice and support on utility management issues to Schools within the Council's utility contracts.
You will be part of a dynamic team that manage the Council's utility portfolio and lead on the Council's response to the Climate Emergency. This post will involve supporting the team leader (EEMS Utilities and Climate Officer) in the delivery of the team plan, as well as liaising with the other project officers. The role will involve working directly with school personnel across the borough and so a friendly and professional approach is required.
Core duties will include providing appropriate technical advice, assessment and management of data (use of Systemslink energy data management system), production of reports, writing of funding bids, liaison with schools, project development and delivery. A good level of knowledge of utility and environmental initiatives would be required. The individual in post will be expected to be able to manage their time effectively. Attention to detail, with a through and meticulous approach to data management is also required.
Training and support will be provided on an ongoing basis to ensure the post holder is supported to thrive in this position. Travel across the borough will be required. The post will be based at Magdalen House in Bootle with an element of home working, the frequency of which can be discussed with team managers.
