Job summaryWe have an exciting opportunity to work within the Estates and Facilities Division and as such we are looking to appoint a highly motivated and conscientious individual to work as an Environmental Manager.
The post holder will be responsible for developing, establishing and reviewing procedures, policies and processes, which provide the Health Board with a Waste Management System.
In addition, this post will lead theWHTM Safe Management of Waste
The post holder will strive to achieve targets for waste management and recycling.
Main duties of the jobTo develop and establish policies, procedures and processes (Waste Strategy) to ensure that a total waste management system is implemented and maintained
To ensure that the Trust Health Board maintains its Duty of Care in relation to waste management.
To provide regular updates at management meetings on waste management identifying progress and reporting actions being taken
To support managers in developing and improving waste management and provide guidance and expertise to ensure local and strategic improvement
To develop systems, which ensure that waste is appropriately segregated, stored and disposed of in accordance with legislation and good practice.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
