Join the
ALS Global Sustainability Team as a
Sustainability Assurance Specialist, where you'll be instrumental in supporting the company's sustainability objectives and alignment with global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. In this role, you will work closely with Corporate Sustainability and Functional Support teams, and business units to elevate sustainability practices across ALS.
Key Responsibilities include - Support and execute ALS Group energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data in line with relevant standards and frameworks, including the GHG Protocol for scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions.
- Sourcing and updating all reporting data required
- Ensuring all corrections on the GHG metrics are performed before internal and external disclosure of the GHG Inventory
- Validate data and develop disclosures for internal and external reporting on environmental, sustainability, and ESG performance (e.g., CSRD, ASRS, GRI, CDP).
- Participate in external audits of ALS sustainability disclosures.
- Advise internal teams on evolving carbon reporting practices and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and support corporate sustainability programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Ensure compliance with ALS's quality procedures, corporate governance, and social responsibility standards.
Essential Skills, Experience & Knowledge - Tertiary qualifications in Sustainability, HSE, Science, or a related discipline, or extensive practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in Sustainability, HSE, Compliance, or a similar role.
- Proficient in carbon reporting regulations, frameworks, and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISSB/IFRS, GRI, CDP)
- Strong English communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to data validation and reporting.
- A proactive attitude toward supporting management and stakeholders.
