Job Title: Horticulturist (Glasshouse)
Location: RHS Garden Wisley
Salary: £26,435 - £27,427 per annum depending on experience
Hours: 37.5/week (including some weekends)
Contract: Permanent
Overview of the Role:
At RHS Garden Wisley we are looking to recruit a dynamic horticulturist to join the Glasshouse Team. The role will be based in the Temperate section of the Glasshouse and will involve the care and maintenance of display beds and plant collections behind the scenes, including part of the Pelargonium National Plant Collection, amongst other delights. A passion for glasshouse plants is essential as well as a keen eye for detail and creative flair, to help deliver inspirational horticultural displays. A good working knowledge of protected plant cultivation, nursery practices, propagation techniques and integrated pest management is also desirable. As a horticulturist at Wisley, you will work as part of a large team and will be expected to provide guidance to students and volunteers.
