Futureheads are seeking an experienced Lead Java Developer to help scale up an exciting music retail and marketing platform that powers retail stores and artist platforms for top brands in the industry. Their dynamic team will embark on an exciting new project.
You'll play a pivotal role in designing and building technical solutions, collaborating closely with business, product leads, and a cross-disciplinary team, including UX designers and front-end developers. You'll contribute to our best practices and help drive technical innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate collaboration within the development team and the overall communication with other teams.
- Help to scale up the business
- Mentor and motivate other team members throughout all project phases.
- Specify and Implement new features and bug fixes in the backend tech stack.
- Collaborate with the product manager, designers and stakeholders throughout the product life-cycle.
- Drive projects / work streams in collaboration with the Head of Technology.
- Strong capability to self-manage and prioritise work, and able to help other team members develop skills to do so.
Technical Skills:
- Strong Java programming implementation skills.
- Solid understanding of software design patterns with a focus on fault tolerance.
- Experience with serverless implementation.
- Relational database systems (normalisation, implementation and querying).
- Extensive experience designing and developing microservice and event driven architectures.
- Experience with workflow automation technologies.
- Previous experience with AWS cloud services
